LINE: flying disks

The label's a good idea.  It's now more recognizably a 3.5" disk.  But
I think the CD is now too wide.

If it's tilted away at the same angle as the 5.25" disk, then since
it's about the same height, it should be about the same width too.

I guess it could be tilted at a different angle.  I'm not sure the
5.25" disk and 3.5" disk are at the same angle.  Hmm.  Let me check.

The 3.5" disk is 6 chars wide by 6 chars tall.  This form can't be
stretched easily either way, so this determines the shape of the other
disks, assuming they're supposed to be at the same angle.

The 5.25" disk is 9 chars wide by 7 chars tall.

While I'm at it, I might as well check the relative sizes.  A 3.5"
disk has a diagonal length of about 4.95".  So if 4.95" is 6 chars
tall, then 5.25" should be 6.36 chars tall.  7 chars is reasonably
close.

(If I actually *had* any of these disks handy, I wouldn't have to do
this math :)

So the height of the 5.25" disk is fine, but the width is off.
However, I can't draw the center hole if the disk is narrowed to 7
chars.

Boy.  All this work just to confirm what I instinctively drew.
Actually, I think I just followed my memory of the original picture,
which had about the same proportions.

Heh, now the only thing that needs work are the "wind trails" or whatever you 
cal 'em.. the stuff behind each flying media need to be better..  latre..

Yup, I agree.  But I have no idea what to do about them.  Maybe
someone else has an idea or two?
