I'm very new to the ascii art stuff. I could use a little help figuring
some things out. If anyone can help me...please e-mail me at the below
address.

Question 1:
Why is it that when I look, copy or try to adjust ascii art it always
comes out cock-eyed? I can pull up some of the messages on this newsgroup,
but the part of the pics are misaligned. Why is that?

Question 2:
I'm looking for ascii art of a bed. Possibly a canopy or poster-bed.
Something nice for my sig. Know where I can find one?

I think that's it for now. I would appreciate any help I could be given.

Thanks much!!

This is a really VFAQ. On the Internet, as opposed to AOL,
we don't all have the same software with the same proportional font
and so the only possible way we can each see the same picture
is to use a typwriter font (usually called "courier" or "monaco").
Change fonts and it will work wonders.

Look for an article by Spunk1111 (Joan Stark) and ask her to
make you one; look up her webpage URL first, ther might be
 one on there already.

one sig-sized bed:

   . .
  /|__________/|
.// / .//|
|/_/________|//|
|_|_________|/
| |

(hmmmm..... maybe I should use this one myself.... no, I think it must
be time for me to go home and get some sleep..... :O )

Your art is cock-eyed because the font you are viewing it in is not
monospaced. Try copying the text into a word processor and changing the
font to courier (or monoco if courier is not available). There is
probably an option in AOL to change your viewing font as well. I don't
know though as I threw away AOL many many years ago.
