Many years ago there existed on BBS's some ascii pinups... this was long before (or at least before) the advent of GIFs, etc. Are these available anyplace? They were the first ascii art I saw, and quite impressive if done by hand (although they may have been scanned). Anyone? Also, what is the difference between this group and alt.ascii.art? Thanks in advance...

As near as I can tell, the only difference is that alt.ascii-art doesn't
pretend to be moderated.

Pretend? Curious choice of words. Perhaps this, then, would be a good place for me to publicly thank the moderator here for his great assistance awhile back when I posted a lengthy file with bad line-wrap trouble. Not only did he contact me with the option of leaving it as it was or being able to correct it, but when I indicated some confusion on the whole deal he went to the trouble of cleaning it up himself before officially posting it, saving everyone who looked at it later a lot of hassle. I posted that same file to alt.ascii-art where it was available complete with line-wrap mess. Many thanks to Bob, for his care and concern. :) :*:':*:':*:':*:':*:':*:':*:':*:':*:':*:':*: -Varian- "I do what I do and I sure have fun." <var...@aol.com> :*:.:*:.:*:.:*:.:*:.:*:.:*:.:*:.:*:.:*:.:*:
