My point exactly, it's too crap to tell. In fact, I think the picture klerck posted is even more crap than the last goatsex picture that was posted. I can barely even see that someone's opening his intimate parts up.

No you can't. Before I replied, I thought that you might be able to see male genitalia indicating gender, so I had another look (the most offensive thing in the picture is the presence of the word 'F**k', after all), and couldn't see anything faintly resembling a man's meat and two veg. I looked again just now, and I still can't see anything with any more artistic merit than a playgroup painting of a flower.

Usenet is a public place where anyone can wander in. >As far as old people go, they haven't discovered the Internet yet and hardly >anyone of them will do much more than send an email or view web sites. Wrong again, Bunky, I'm 71. Anyone who uses rude language or images in a public place accomplishes nothing but to demonstrate his lack of maturity. Sorry that strikes a nerve. When you grow up you will, hopefully, understand. Nat >The old folk who wander into Usenet will just have to get used to it like >everyone else has.

Usenet is a public place where anyone can wander in. So are porn sites. It doesn't mean children should wander in. Apart from anything else, 99.9% of the children I've seen on Usenet do nothing but troll, AOL and write other one line posts, and have hideous posting habits that they never correct. When I see anyone under 14 that is capable of communicating on Usenet properly, I will say 'well done, you're the exception'. > > >As far as old people go, they haven't discovered the Internet yet and hardly > >anyone of them will do much more than send an email or view web sites. > > Wrong again, Bunky, I'm 71. And if you have, then get off this computer. Go outside. Meet these strange people that you have apparently failed to meet at all despite living 71 years. Then come back when you've learned how to actually argue something without looking like an idiot. In other words, come back when you've grown up.

Usenet is a public place where anyone can wander in. there's lots of public places that kids aren't allowed to go, e.g. strip clubs. It is common knowledge that the Internet holds dangers for children and hence all parents know that they have a duty to monitor their children's use of the Internet. It is not sufficient to rely on software programs to do that - parenting is a full time job and children whose parents abdicate responsibility to third parties are neglecting their sacred duty. >>As far as old people go, they haven't discovered the Internet yet and hardly >>anyone of them will do much more than send an email or view web sites. >Wrong again, Bunky, I'm 71. Fine. Let's say I believe you for arguments sakes. >Anyone who uses rude language or images in a public place accomplishes nothing >but to demonstrate his lack of maturity. in your opinion, which apparently is not held by the majority of Usenet users or else they would cease acting that way. Usenet is a place for people to unwind, find entertainment, socialise with others, joke around, argue with, find knowledge etc. In other words, pretty much the widest spectrum of human social intercourse. >Sorry that strikes a nerve. When you grow up you will, hopefully, understand. Well I will worry about being 71 when I am 71. Right now I am 34 and enjoying myself tremendously. >>The old folk who wander into Usenet will just have to get used to it like >>everyone else has. My above comment is my bottom line comment to you. You may not like some of the stuff that goes down on Usenet, you may consider it immature or just plain wrong, but you are powerless to change it. In fact generally speaking one individual can rail against a group of people and their beliefs as much as they like, but it ain't gonna change a damn thing. If you were as old as you claim you are, you would no doubt have discovered that piece of wisdom already. So I conclude you are either a liar (about your age) or you're just a really slow learner. -- bes...@last.com V ybir lbh nyy. Lbh ner nyy fhpu fcrpvny crbcyr. Naq abj V unir gb xvyy lbh.

It looks like you need to learn how to use Usenet as well as how to communicate with these strange things that walk on two legs. For the record, I'm not even the one who 'annoied' people with rude language.

As your inflated ego will not >tolerate argument... it's got nothing to do with my ego, it is merely an observation of what happens on Usenet and in life in general. i cannot change the way others act, i can only change my own actions to compensate. >I rest my case and gladly accept the judgement of others. there are no judges nor any hierarchy here. everyone is a peer. opinions are merely that. some think i'm right, others think i'm wrong. in this particular case, i know i'm right: kids should not play unsupervised on the Internet and should be barred from accessing Usenet because of it's inherent adult content. as an adult you are quite entitled to your view that some Usenet postings are not your cup of tea, just as you have preferences for what programs you watch on tv. on Usenet you can filter out content that you don't wish to read. that is your best recourse, but there are plenty of people who try to insist that others modify the content of their postings. so far that approach has been a complete failure. -- bes...@last.com V ybir lbh nyy.
