Info: How to repost a sig you see on another group

Let's say you're on another group, say, alt.butt.scratching just for
example. And while reading the posts, you see a sig. You would like an
easy way to show it to us here, without saving it, quiting from a.b.s,
going to r.a.a, starting a post, inserting the sig, quiting your
newsreader, deleting the sig, etc.
It's easy, just follow-up the article, change the name in the
newsgroup line from alt.butt.scratching to rec.arts.ascii. Then delete
all the extraneous stuff from the post, leaving the sig. Add any
commentary you think appropriate, and send it.

And for those using the newsreader "tin", you can use the x (crosspost article) command. It then prompts for the newsgroup to repost the article to and adds attribution but no extra indenting like a followup would. You also have an option to edit the message before posting it. (The naming of the command is a seperate issue.) -- ----' gbe...@cse.unl.edu (Greg Berigan) ------, ,-|-, If your use of lose and loose is loose you lose. ----' '-'
