Animation in .plan

How do I put animation in my .plan? I can view it with cat, but if I copy the animation file as my .plan, it only shows a bunch of escape characters..

You need to use ^M characters to do this.  ^M does Carriage Return
 without Line Feed.
^M here represents CTRL+M on a vt100 keyboard.
ie
neb^Mnbe^Mbne^Mben
which I presume is the sort of thing you mean.

^M is a 7 bit code, so as long as the finger program of the person doing
the fingering does not pipe through less or anything, you should have 
no problem.

You won't be able to cut and paste them, but if you save this news article 
a file, you can edit it into your .plan .

Alternatively, you can use ^\^M in emacs to produce ^M's.
