I have a question... why is it that all the ascii tables I tried always display another character then what I actually get when I do alt + ###? See I have to write a program for school (with ObjectADA 95)... it's kind of like the Minesweeper game... So what I want to do is make a board game with ascii characters and make the four corners so that it creates a full line... But when I enter ALT + the Dec code for the character, it shows some weird stuff like ���� and not what I want... Please help me someone Mathieu Corbeil cor...@sympatico.ca

If you're trying to get DOS character set characters (Like those used in DOS EDIT to surround the text editing area) under Windows, you'll have to use a font like MS Linedraw or Terminal. If you're just after special characters like those found in the character map, you'll have to stick a '0' on the front of the Alt number e.g. ae-dipthong = Alt+0145, not Alt+145 like in DOS.
