How big is the display? What characters can you use? Are there any

But he wasn't asking for one-line pictures. He was asking for pictures
suitable for some phone... I have seen similar requests before, and also
made some such pictures (didn't keep any though...). They needed to be
very specialised and fit exactly into some, rather small, "box". I think
there must be different standards too, since some (but not all) of these
pictures needed to be "filled out" with characters or the white-space
would disappear... Also, some characters could not be used. That is why
I asked the original poster to specify what he was looking for and what
he could use. One can't make such pictures without knowing about the
limitations of the display they will be used on.

It all depends of the phone. More expensive phones have larger displays.

My friend Alex "Bungle!" Haig has 3 phones (well only one is his, the other
two owned by his dad) and the screen sizes are:


3x13
4x15
2x15

and my mum`s friend who is here right now has a phone with a 4x13 display.

The 2x15 one I have had the chance to fiddle with, and it appears to support
the following characters:

!"%&*()/\.# and all of the letters and numbers.

It allows you to set up a 2-line message that is displayed for a few seconds
when you turn on the phone, and I typed in this

\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\
/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/

the one with the 3x13 screen is set up to recieve email from a special
address, and lines are wrapped at 12chars with a maximum size of 160chars
for the entire message but it can scroll up and down (the scrolly arrows use
up the remaining column of the display).
