[PIC] Fish Tesselation

I decided today that I would do a tesselation in ascii. I just had no
idea when I started that it would turn out this lame. As a
conselation it makes a really bad steriogram as well.

That might prove a fruitful mine to, err, mine. 32 pixel square isn't a lot of room for a picture, but 80x80 (columns | pixels) should give a lot more room. Ditto. As I mentioned when I started this thread almost any ascii
tesselation creates a steriogram to give you a real 3d feel. It isn't
that great but if you were to do differing shades for each of the
motifes the effect would be hieghten.

Maybe it's not as "bad" as you think! "Bad" is relative! One
might say that "bad" is in the eye of the beholder! In my case, I
see chessboards in this kind of thing. But then I see chessboards
everywhere, what with having been an inventor of chess variations and
designer of chessboards for umpteen decades. (As they used to say
in New York, that and fifty cents will get me a ride on the subway.
I hear that now it's a dollar-fifty.)
Your design reminds me of some ascii artwork chessboards I whipped
up many years ago but never "published" anywhere. I'm not sure how
much of it I posted here, but if readers will forbear some ascii art
that's much lamer than the fish above, I'll post it here now. If
some is a repeat, my apologies, but these days I think we can use all
the legimitate ascii art activity we can get. See following postings.

I drew the original on paper and then taped it next to the monitor to translate the shapes into ASCII. Took me a couple of hours, and then someone accused me of using a program to make it. (I do use sacii art generators sometimes, but this was not one of those cases.) I have dozens of celtic knot drawings on paper. Before the days when I had a portable electronic device to keep me busy when I should have been working I used to draw knot patterns all the time. I keep telling myself I am going to scan them one day but I never do. I have done a few in ascii art but they never turn out as good because I keep wanting to use a line style.
