Could someone help with a .signature-sized picture of a teddy bear? Please e-mail me at the address below. Thanks! Judy spl...@teleview.com.sg -- Regards, Judy :-)
Hello everyone, Unless you are brand new to the internet (and even if you are - this can be of value, so read on) then I'm sure by now you've seen the "turn $5 into $50,000" plan that has been posted in Usenet Newsgroups. Is this legal? Let's look at that for a minute. This asks you to send $1 to be added to a list. Many people have bashed this plan as being illegal, but it is not - IF FOLLOWED CORRECTLY. If you are getting value for the $1 sent, it does not fall under the USPS "Pyramid Scheme" or "Chain Letter". So follow these instructions to the tee and don't be fooled or discouraged by those who will blast the message across the net "THIS IS ILLEGAL!" Does it work? You bet. I've filed away $2,457 in 3 weeks. And given more time, there will be plenty more. Read on! You will need $5, five postage stamps, (postage varies depending on your country) and your computer. Now that is hardly a risky investment is it? Everyone who tries this will make much, much more than that, so what have you got to loose? ===================================================== First - Type or write your name and address on 5 separate pieces of paper with the words "PLEASE ADD ME TO YOUR MAILING LIST". Fold a $1 bill or money order in each of the pieces of paper, place them in 5 envelopes and mail one to each of the following five addresses: 1- Ken Rose 5815 Parfet St. Arvada, CO. 80004 2- Robert Knowlton PO Box 924 Concord, NH 03302-0924 3- JCL 1313 Wake Forest Dr. #125 Davis, CA 95616 4- RFP 9594 1st Ave, NE, #423 Seattle, WA 98115 4- JJC 1770 Glenmore Ave East Meadow, NY 11554 Second - Now remove the 1st name on the list, move the other 4 names up (5 becomes 4, 4 becomes 3 etc.) and put your name and address as number 5 on the list. You can do this by re-typing this article or simply editing it in a word processor. Third - Post your amended article to at least 200 Usenet news groups (there are over 20,000 of them). Fourth - As you receive money in the mail (as a result of being on lists posted on Usenet groups), you will keep track of them and begin building a database or list of the addresses. This address list will become your master mailing list. Fifth - Once your master mailing list is sizable (which it very soon will be) send it to each person who sent you $1 (these are your agents). Mailing Lists are of great value to marketing brokers in your area (they can be found in your phone book). You and your agents will be able to sell your mailing lists for cash. These mailing lists are especially valuable to marketing brokers because they contain only people who (a) have computer access and (b) have internet access. 10,000 names can easily draw five hundred dollars. Important Note - The 4th and 5th steps separate this from an ordinary "pyramid scheme" or "chain letter" and make this an honest business opportunity. Hence the importance of following these procedures exactly. That's it - you are now in the Mail Order Investment Business. You will start receiving $1 returns by mail within a week or two. The more newsgroups you post to, the greater your returns will be. You may even want to rent a P O Box to handle the volume of mail you're likely to receive. And you will receive further returns when you go to sell your mailing list. If you wish to remain anonymous, you can use a pseudonym such as "The Manager" or "The Investor", but make sure your snail mail address is correct! How does this work? Of every 200 postings you make you'll receive an average of 5 replies (or five dollars). Ok that may not seem like much but read on.... Each person who sends you $1 also makes - let's say - 200 additional postings WITH YOUR NAME AT NUMBER 4, i.e. 1000 postings. On average therefore, 50 people will send you $1 with your name at number 4. You then make $50. And so on as you move up the list.... So you can see how the volume will build quickly. And when you drop off the list - simply start over! Remember, this only costs Five dollars, 5 postage stamps and some online time. So what are you waiting for? You may be thinking "This has been around a while - What happens if this is 'played out" and no one sends me any money"? Big deal - so you lose $5 - but what are the chances of that happening? Not very likely with hundreds of thousands of new people joining the internet every month! Remember, follow the instructions and play fair - send those 5 one-dollar bills (this process is based on honesty and it won't work if you cheat on the initial investment). See you in Barbados!!

I`m sorry I don`t have time too write about you all,
it`s just a poem, no hard feelings and all?
If you want to write a verse all about you...
feel free, just send me any thing new.
I`ll add it into the poem just here,
And your name will be remembered year after year.
If you think my poem is slightly silly...
I don`t care, I wrote it willy nilly!
So now you know about alt.ascii-art,
which we all love, each one with our heart.
Please look at the art, and do come back...
Oh yeah, and read the FAQing FAQ!

It's a can of worms. It's really in the hands of the author/maintainer who, it must be said, has no obligation whatsoever to include anyone or even maintain his/her creation after its creation. And...note...Martin Atkins did say the following in his posting: " I hope those that didn`t get a mention won`t take it the wrong way, a lot of people I tried but couldn`t think of any rhymes!
