Well, yours is not really the biggest collection (at least not yet),
since you can download 110 animation files from here:
   http://www.jave.de/player/vt100/vt100.zip
Feel free to add them to yours.

Good show!! And I thought I was the only VT animation junkie... ;-)

Do you have any resources on how to go about creating these animations?

++R

Will mirror your VT collection... thanks.

Character animation rulez :-)

No, I only managed to write some kind of Java animation player that is
capable of reading and playing most of the animations. This is a hidden
feature contained in JavE 5.0 that can be started from the command line:
   java -cp jave5.jar de.jave.jave.VIViewer g:/VT100/bambi.vt

I wanted to make the frame rate configurable (more precisely the timing
strategy - some animations contain frames, others just work by modifying
single charachters and require different timings), add color support and
include a vt100 to JMOV animation converter, but then I ran out of time...

Maybe I will finish this this thing one day...

There are some manuals around on the web containing descriptions of the
character codes used for certain functions (google for "vt100 terminal"
- lower numbers like vt52 or so will also do). However I did not find a
really good one and found out some of the secrets rather by trying to
make the animations work than by looking at the descriptions.

That's all right. I think you have some animations I did not yet see. I
will look at them later.
