Hello all,
I was wondering if anyone can write out "Max Dawa" (in a fancy but
readable ascii) with a cow and a bike, all to be in about 4-6 lines?
Thanks in advance!
Max

Noo not a request for my sig drawn in ascii .. fooled ya :)
But my actual signature as well as I can write it with a mouse .. and thats
hard work .. created in Jave 2.0 - which I'm testing at the moment ( don't
worry Markus .. tons of suggestions , praise and critisism will be comming
your way )
For thoose that don't know the program : Jave is a ascii-art paintprogram
like Paint or Photoshop only for ascii-art.
Creating images in Jave requires little to no skill at all.
Really awesome images and fine details still require talent and handediting
though, but Jave is a great helper.

Hello CeeJay, Thanks for making good publicity for my little tool :-) > ... ( don't > worry Markus .. tons of suggestions , praise and critisism will be comming > your way ) Great, I am very much looking forward for that. I have not receive much feedback for the new release yet :-( As for my work on JavE I have already fixed a few bugs and implemented a new feature that will be part of the next release: The "Camelizer". Here is an example: The Camel izer is a t ool that take s any kind of t ext and forms it into a given shape. Th e shape is tak en fr om a GIF/BM P/JPG image and it onl y takes li ttle e ffort to create Ascii imag es like this one. I di d not have a good id ea for a name for this to ol, so I d ecided to cal l it "Ca mel izer". This is bec ause p ropably the most famous exam ple for this effect is a nice Perl p rog ram formed int o the shap e of a camel. Have fun w ith t he cam eliz er - it is not ava ila ble ye t , bu t w ill be p art of t he v er y n ex t releas e o f JavE. Sta y tune d! > For thoose that don't know the program : Jave is a ascii-art paintprogram > like Paint or Photoshop only for ascii-art. Well, that's right: Other programs claimed that long time ago, but for JavE it's true. And one should also mention that JavE is freeware and it runs on almost any OS (with support for a Java Runtime Environment - BTW: don't mix up "Java" and "JavE"). Now I think it is time to once again tell the URL from where to downlaod it: http://www.jave.de > Creating images in Jave requires little to no skill at all. > Really awesome images and fine details still require talent and handediting > though, but Jave is a great helper. Don't forget to mention that it has little or no calories and that in every 7th download package there is an extra surprise included! Now that's amaaaaazing - isn't it? ;-) Yours faithfully, Markus -- \-/ http://www.jave.de O_< Get JavE now! \-/ J|a|v|E /| J|a|v|E /-\ Ascii-Art for eyeryone / \ - for free! /-\
Notepad also is a program :P and JavE is just an extend text editor so what's the problem using it? drsquare wrote: > >Notepad also is a program :P > > But it doesn't actually draw anything. > > >and JavE is just an extend text editor so what's the problem using it? > > It does the art for you. Really?? - Ok, let's see: I'm gonna start the program. Clickedyclick...hack...click... - Now it's running. Ok, there is an empty document open... All right, I am waiting... Still waiting for something to happen... - Hm, no: it doesn't seem to work. It does not do any art for me :-( Hey, drsquare, let's face the truth: Those programs are just _tools_ - like a brush for the painter or a hammer and a saw for the carpenter. Ascii-Art is still done by humans. And I am pretty sure you don't draw your Ascii-Art images with a pencil on a sheet paper, do you? - Oh, I have just had a look at all your postings to this newsgroup - LOL - What a shame! It seems to me you are not even into Ascii art at all :-( Well, that's ok then: If you don't draw any Ascii Art you will of course not need any tools. So everything should be fine for you ;-) Yours sincerely, Markus -- \-/ http://www.jave.de O_< Get JavE now! \-/ J|a|v|E /| J|a|v|E /-\ Ascii-Art for eyeryone / \ - for free! /-\

Well, I've tried it and It didn't do much for me. It did draw the lines for me but at the end I didn't enp up with a drawing. It was more like a big mess. The problem was, I think, that I wanted to reproduce with Jave what I was doing by hand. I'd try something else. In my experience, Jave doesn't do the art for you ...neither does Illustrator or any other drawing application. Obascii: made with Jave 2 ________ ,-'''' :: :'-. __... . I've downloaded JavE now about 40 times and in none of the packages I found that 'little extra surprise'. Or means 'little' that it has 0 bytes? What am I doing wrong? Joey
