Next portrait i've done, something between Manga and Art Deco :P
An example of breaking rhythm of horizontal lines by the vertical curve
(what makes the effect of the graphics). I found that the more realistic
hair spoilt the grey rate of the picture and finally was a reason of its
decomposition on a few lines with various temper.
Constructive criticism is welcome.

You should build a web-page of these faces. I agree with Dave; the two faces you've posted recently are brilliant. I had to go into dejanews to see the second one. (weird newsfeed, these days) May I suggest you take away the spaces from the ends of the lines and keep your lines to not more than 72 characters? I hope you don't mind that I have slightly altered her hairstyle so that she won't (I hope) linewrap on this post. --------------- ------------------------------- ------------------------------------------ ---------------------------------------------- -.''-------------------------------------------- -.' ------------------------------------------- --.' ---------------------------------------- --.' ------------------------------------- ----: .... ----------------------------------- -----: ;'```:. ----------------------------------- -----: ' `:. --------------------------------- ------`. \__ `:. -------------------------------- --------: =.:_~-_ ------------------------------- ---------' + "-._ ------------------------------ ---------' -~-~~ ~ ----------------------------- ------- ' ---- .------------------- ---- ' - : :----------------- --( . ; ;---------------- -----; ',-' /--------------- -----( -_ ' ------------- ------\. _ .g_.' ----------- ------(__ ~ - oOo --------- ------: . ||| ------ ----: ||| ---- `. ,/ .| -- `. __ - `--..___.. ~~ - .- ~ - _ .' ~ - .-~ ~ ~ - . .' `. .' `. .' . . .' . .' .' . .' .' : sc NOTE: I do not pick up my mail from the idirect address that you see. But it should be dificult. The Face 2 graphics size was determined by the posible sizes of mouth and eye. The significant size reduction was done using the face proportion worked out by the Manga artist. The graphics should be minimum 120x50 with respect to natural proportion. But i promise that i'll try. That is new challange. Although the face which is composition of lines and looking realistic hair texture has priority now. The Face 3 graphic i've send few minutes ago is a little try. But i think that this theme is still open. Regards, Staszek
