I downloaded it, and couldn't get it to work. It always said there was an
error.....maybe it was just my computer.

You can have oudles of memory space being taken up by TSRs ( Programs that Terminate but Stay Resident thereby soaking up your memory unnecessarily ) that you never use any more...screen savers and screen capture programs etc. The bottom line is that you have to release memeory somewhere to run things you want to run even if the release is only temporary. Well, as I said in another posting, I met that situation myself when using a 256K RAM PC/XT and only 12Mb of hard disk space to play with because the other 8Mb of space belonged to someone else. My solution was...and still is...lotsa floppy disks and avoid using Windoze like it was a deadly virus devouring memory and hard disk space. Some folks say it actually is a virus created by Bill Gates. Windoze is really nothing more than a bloated DOS shell interface! My DOS shell, FileViewer, takes a mere 13,642 bytes of my hard disk space but Windoze takes a staggering 20.5 Megabytes! Furthermore my DOS shell uses up only 14,128 bytes of memory and DOS itself takes 27,712 byte of memory leaving me 502,096 bytes of free memory. I don't know how much of that remainder Windoze gobbles up but enough yo stop me using any sound on DOS-based games. :-( I am forced to use Windoze to run Free Agent, and one or two games that will only run from Windoze...but that's all. It really sounds far more likely your problem is that the memory on your computer itself is being completely choked and overloaded with memory-gobbling Terminate-but-Stay-Resident software programs like Windoze et al. I can't see how a new computer is going to solve that scenario. What machine have you got at present? Memory? Hard disk size? Ah well! Yes, I have a zip-- but the 3.5 drive is broken as is the CD-ROM... I keep nearly all of the ASCII pics on ZIP- but most of the programs and games are on the hard drive.
