The intrepid reporters were researching the "WHAZZIT" pictures presented
by Bob Allison, and, as you know, the search led to the Patent Office.
A casual study of the evolution of artificial limb modifications led us
to wonder if we might find something in the archaeological books, since
flora and fauna have been shown to mutate through the eons, as environmental
changes were forced on them.

It was there we discovered, along with the well known fossil of the
archeopteryx, a fossil of a chicken. It was flattened just like the
fish and birds in fossils, and looked exactly like the picture above.

Lo and behold, this was an EARLY fossil chicken, designed specifically
for Easter. IT not only contained eggs, but Easter baskets for the eggs.
Further inquiry showed us that the basket was too difficult to "pass"
(our apologies to the more sensitive in the audience)....too scratchy!

So the chicken evolved as we see it now, passing eggs FOR Easter where
we have to make our own baskets. We know this to be true, because some
chickens still lay blue and brown eggs to save work in the egg dying
process.
