I had to search a little before I found the ascii stuff... ftp://ftp.remorse.org/pub/collies/ There I see lots of files with "graffiti-ish" logos and some pictures... but some of them seem to be suffering from some wrapping problem... and some "bad" characters... and I also see some nice and interesting things there :) . __ | . _ _ __\ _| | /__ _ ====================================== ._) _| ================================ _ | ._)_ __ :::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::. \ | | _ \/ .::::::::::::::::::::::::::::: : | / . : . -- :) Veronica Karlsson ( e93...@sm.luth.se http://www.ludd.luth.se/~vk/ )

I'd like to copy some of the stuff into my collection and since I'd like have something like a name or initials with it, I'll call you 'remorse'. That OK? :) Andreas _ | Ascii Dictionary (Collection, Links, ...) | o | http://www.stud.uni-hannover.de/~freise | o <<.|_ _| < > |\ |

The artwork collected there is by a group of individuals called "Remorse / ACiD ASCII". If you look in side the packs usually you will see the original authors name. It is also located in the last 128 bytes of every textfile, in the "SAUCE" description. If you like what you see there on Remorse FTP, you can find a plethora of ASCII, ANSI, and VGA artwork at the ACiD Artpacks Archive. They house over a gig of various artgroups works, and offer functionality very similar (or advanced) to a Files-Only type of BBS over the web. http://artpacks.acid.org if you are interested. P.S.: What sort of wrapping problem are you encountering? IT may be because it's on a unix-os system. Try downloading using Cute-FTP and enable the ASCII option? I can read all the *.asc files perfectly but the *.txt files have got an extra linebreak between the lines. Hm, yes, it actually is a Unix system. But - sorry - I won't try Cute-FTP. If you want to present something in the net but won't make it readable for LYNX or even Netscape you'll leave out a lot of people - including me. I'd like to see the other files but I won't try hard. :) Andreas _ | Ascii Dictionary (Collection, Links, ...) | o | http://www.stud.uni-hannover.de/~freise | o <<.|_ _| < > |\ |
