Need help with art prac !

Hi I have been givin an art practicle in which I need to create an image(s) using ascii. My art teacher wants me to create it in a way that it will only be seen when looked at from a distance ( just a jumble of ascii when looked at close up ). I have spent hours experimenting but don't seem to be able to get the required effect. Can anyone help me ? Do I shade with larger to smaller or what ? Please, any help will be gladley accepted, my prac is due for 2 weeks time plus a theory project. Thanks !
