Sorry, Jim, I didn't mean to "tell you off"!

When you need a high line, tilde is usually the best character to use.
But I use every strategy I can think of to adjust things so that a
high line gets converted to a low line or a middle line.

So for instance, I might do this to your logo:

            .,ad8888888ba,.
          .d8Y" "Y8b.
        .d8' '8b.

 | N n N I "s,. "s,. AaA N n N |
 | N nN I s.," s.," A A N nN |
 +-----------------------------------+
        '8b. .d8'
          ~Y8b d8Y~
            ~'"Y8888888Y"'~

err...tried to post this once but I think I screwed up anyway...

Here's a couple of big ones and a little one.
There's room for improvement - the NISSAN bit should really
be negative I suppose, as I think it's indented on the badge.
I nicked the circle and adjusted it from Kevin Milburn's Olympic rings

For high lines, I use "

On some fonts you can get a high line with this character here ()

(I press alt-N to get it)

Although on the font I'm using just now it looks the same as a hyphen (-)
