Here's a 75-column .sig employing the moebius-like "rectabular brackets".
It looks great on my monitor- does it look OK on yours? (using a monospace
font, of course.)

Hey! I like it!

As you can see, I altered it for my own use as a signature file. If you mind, let me know, and i'll stop using
it.

Thanks so much!

Great! I've been drawing these optical-illusory brackets since I was a kid,
so it's natural I'd want them in my .sig. Now to compose an ASCII of the
"ambihicular hexnut"! ;-)

I don't mind at all! Imitation is, after all, the sincerest form of flattery.

Thank you for the feedback! :-)

I had to change my sig again. It was too wide.

Working on the ambihicular hexnut. I also draw optical illusions for fun.
I don't think that the hexnut is a good idea for a sig, becuase it
would be too big. You could probably make a big ascii art with it, though.
I changed the form, without changing the illusion, below:

This is what I have so far...
  _ _ _
 / \ / \ / \
|\ /| |\ /| |\ /|
| | | | | | | | |
| | | | | | | | |
| | | | | | | | |
| | | | | | | | |
| | | | | | | | |
| | | | | | | | |
|_|/|_|/|_|/|_|/

Trying to make it look like factory smokestacks instead of the hexnut thing.

Another rectabular bracket! My design looks more 'dynamic', though, IMO.

This is pretty amazing. It's a bandwidth-wasting .sig, though. WAY too
many lines...

Does anyone else have any optical-illusory ASCIIs to share?

I only have these. They are probably well known:
