Xterm-Viewing

Hi there,
I probably don`t tell anything new, but it`s new for me:

If you view large ascii-art-pics with a xterm on an unix-machine, try the
unreadable Mode. The pictures become more compressed and you get very nice
results.

Anyway .... cheers4now and don`t mind if it is a very old hint ;-)))))

Also you can use xv as a gif-to-ascii converter. You save a picture as
xpm instead of gif and then you can edit it with for example emacs (it
works best if you have at most about six colours, but you can also use
xv to reduce the number of colours...).
