animation software

Hi,

I know i have posted a request like this before, but this is not the
same. Sorry.

I am looking for a piece of animation software that will allow sound as
part of the film. If anyone has ever seen fruityloops, a piece of
software for making drum-loops, that is the sort of thing i want, where
there are lots of tracks, or channels, that all play at the same time,
but have different sounds(like .wavs for example) on each one, that
start at different times etc. For example, i might want to have some
background music(1 sound), with someone speaking (2nd sound), while
driving a car (3rd sound). It would be very difficult to coordinate
these if only one "background" channel/sound was available, and i would
want to be able to look at where the animation had reached, and put the
appropriate sound in accordingly. The software needs to be able to
import single frames (of any extention, it doesn't matter), and put them
together into one film (again, any extention will do, as long as it is
possible to view it in w95). It also needs to be able to handle large
numbers of frames(over 1000), but i think that probably depends on the
speed of the machine.

I am (amazingly, for me), willing to actually part with some cash, and
buy some software for a change, but i want to know which is best first.
Of course, i would rather have a freeware/shareware/cracked/warez
version, but i know that it is unlikley that there will be anything that
meets my rather demanding needs.
