**** 'AL' [Club President] - Introduction ****
----------------------------------------------------------------------------

Hello, my name is ALEX LIBMAN, I am the starter of AL's Software Club.
AL's Software is a group of CoProgrammers, working on top-quality products.
As of today, we have over 110 members and we are looking for more Programmers
and Artists. We seek all kinds of skills. No talent is to big or to small.
The source code and the ideas are exchanged over FTP/E-MAIL/IRC/UseNET/BBSes.
We are also starting a BBS fido-style Network with private MAIL/FILE
ECHO Forums. The club is obligation free. You can join/quit at any given
time with no questions asked.

AL's Software can be a HUGE money maker!!! A programmer can make us much
as $15,000 a month (about $180,000 a year) working at home, part time! And
since you work for yourself, you can always make -=M*O*R*E=- or less. You
are your own boss. No more 9 to 5... And you will not believe how easy it
is to write software in a group!!! You don't have to be a top-skilled
programmer to benefit from this unbelievably amazing offer! And virtually
anyone who is reading this file is welcome. We will support every "field"
in which we have members. From "Beginners QuickBASIC" to "Proffesional
Assembly" the chances are you will be working with people who are on your
level. Regardless if you are 16 or 60 years old, AL's Software needs you
as a member!

For example, lets say you [as a club member], have an idea for a project,
lets say a "A really good DOS/Windows screen-saver package with at least
70 screen savers" [or -=W*H*A*T*E*V*E*R=-]. You e-mail a "Project OutLine"
to me and to your Groups "Advisor(s)". Each group will have at least one
advisor, someone who has excelled in that field] who's main task would be
to help other group member. Then we schedule up an IRC chat for ME [Club
President], your group(s) Advisor(s), and yourself [The Project organizer].
We go over the project outline, brainstorm, make few changes and share some
ideas. We will also discuss things like "How many members does this project
require", "If Artists or ANSI/DOC/HLP Writers will be needed", and "If and
why this project would sell". Then after the "Project" is well outlined and
has no gaps we make sure the Project Organizer and the Group Advisor have
[and know how to handle] all possible programming utilities. After
everything is %100 planned out, we include the project description in the
Club NewsLetter and the Project OutLine will be sent to all members in all
needed groups. [Many projects will be "Multi-GROUP projects". A `Multi-
GROUP' Project has members from more than one group concentrating on one
projects. A common example is the Artist group is often included in
many projects. During the "Project BrainStorm" chat at least one Advisor
from each Group must be present"]. After we get a good amount of people
interested the the project we call up yet another chat meeting. It will
include ME, YOU, the Advisor(s) from all needed group(s), anyone interested
in joining the project, and anyone with any ideas for the project. This
will give the Project Organizer [in this example, it's YOU] another chance
to go over the Project OutLine and it will also give all members a chance
to decide weather or not they are interested [or able] to join this project.
Then after all "uninterested" people leave, Project Members discuss things
like who will do which part, make sure everyone has [and will be able to
use] all the utilities/libraries/headers which will be used in the project,
and also which percentage everyone will get after the project if finished.
Then we put together a contract, and have everyone read it, and make it
clear that that %100 understand it. [ My lawyer made me do this 8-) ]
After all that stuff is over, the fun part [programming] begins. Members
will meet regularly [for example once a week] to discuss ideas, check on
each other progress, exchange source codes, get the hole program [or several
parts] compiled and see what we have so far. We will also go over Beta-
-Testers' LOGs. After the program [the first version] is done, we do some
major beta testing and fixing, modify and expand the DOCs, offer it to
everyone in the club for testing/ideas/comments, and eventually put
everything together and release it to public. After the first "year"
[350 days] we will start "sharing the $$$$$". However, for most projects,
the programmers will get their share after a shorter period of time
[Ex. 90 days]. Those details are descussed in IRC meetings before the
project opens and it would be a part of the contract.
Lets say the first version of the project made $203,000 in the first year.
Also lets say other that you [Project Organizer] there were 9 other
programmers [10 total] and you decided that each will get an equal (%%)
percentage. OK. Lets say out of $203,000, the the club payed $3,000
expanses so we have $200,000 profit. [I would like to note that right
now the club budget is $0]. The club gets the %5 of the profit [each
year] so the club gets $10,000 for this project, and there are $190,000
left. Each of ten programmers [including you] gets %10 of what is left,
so each Project member makes $19,000. [That is for one version of one
project for one year]. (End of example... Weew)

It is proven that working in a group, you will write better software,
faster, and make more money for yourself. It is very difficult to build
a successful program from scratch - it takes allot of time and you rarely
make enough money to cover the hours of work. That is why many programs
never go past Beta. If you are a member of a club, it is allot easier.
All programs can be patented (C) on your name, and the company's name
"AL's Software". You will get all HELP/Software Libraries you need, plus
you will not be working alone! You will never be stuck again!! AL's
Software will also help you Distribute your software over the world! You
can even improve/distribute a program which you wrote B4 you joined AL's
Software!!! Try to imagine Providing your own Advertizing, Distribution
[FTP/BBS/*], Technical Support [IRC/E-MAIL/FIDO/NETMAIL/Usenet/
/Someday-VOICE], your own FaxLine/Mailer/BBS/Huge-HomePage...
AL's Software will do it all for you!!

Programming is one of the best jobs out there! In 1976 Steve Jobs said
that someday there will be a PC on every desk and he was right. He also
said that soon no business will be able to function without a computer,
and he was also right. There also was a rumor, saying that soon the
computers will run the world, and that one was absolutely untrue. Any
computer is not smarter than an average toaster without the programmer - a
human element! So it is not the computers who run the world, it's the
people who program them! By the year 2000, there will be more computers
in the world, than people, and each one of them will need Software
Applications!! Demand for new Software triples yearly!

The future is bright, and the time to make the first step is NOW ...
If you are %0.0015+ interested, please contact me for more information.
The best possible way to contact me is by Voice-Calling me at 908-308-4336
between 4-11PM (Ask for ALEX). So regardless of weather you are interested
in the money, connections or the fun and passion to programming, stop
making excuses, and join today! All you have to do is send me an E-Mail
to ALS...@RAVEN.CYBERCOMM.NET and let your instincts take over. }8')
 All Comments/Segestions are welcome.

I HOPE TO CHAT WITH YOU SOON,

-AL' (President, Starter and the Spiritual Leader of AL's Software),

---------------------------------------------------------------------------
**** F.A.Q. (Q&A) ****
---------------------------------------------------------------------------

Q> What Projects did the club make so far?
A> As of the date the file was typed, the club is NOT open for projects.
The club will be open in 2-3 weeks. All members will be notified
   via E-Mail.

Q> What are the requirements?
A> To join the club, you will need:
   - Your own HardWare (modem) and SoftWare (Non-ShareWare compilers).
We can help you buy both. We will also help you get all utilities
you may need to get started. We also can help you buy a right book.
   - E-Mail address [If you are not on I-NET, you can use Juno,
the FREE E-Mail software for Windows. It comes with an Easy Setup,
a spell-checker, a phone book and many other KEWL things.]
     Contact me for more info.
   - Responsibility
   - A good knowlage of the English Language
   - "Passion for Programming and Intelligent SoftWare" 8-)

Q> OK, I meet all the minimum requirements, whats next?
A> Well, I would Recommended (Optionally):
   - Full InterNET access. [Or at least the access to IRC & UseNET]
   - Good Solid Knowllage of your Programming Language
   - If you are an "On-Paper Artist" your own color scanner, or ability to
access one [Ex. In School, Friend]
   - If you live in NJ (USA) Area [Especially local to Freehold, NJ],
you could access our HQ BBS; so the basic knowllage of BBS
     Communications would be helpful.

Q> I am a MAC Programmer.. Can I still join?
A> Yes, you are welcome to join. Since as of right now, we only have about
3 people who are MAC programmers, you might not have as much projects
avelible to you. [Same thing goes for OS2/Unix Programmers] As we get
more members who program in your environment, you will get a lot more
   options.

Q> Does the club provide "-W-a-R-e-Z-"?
A> <NO> way, Jose! (It's illegal)

Q> Do you ever have any normal [face-to-face in real life] meetings?
A> No. [We might have one in the future] We have many members who are
from the NJ (USA) area, so we might have a meeting there. But about
%75 of our members are from other locations [USA and Europe]
All of our communication is done thrue InterNET.

Q> I have a project idea.. what do I do?
A> Read the 3rd Paragraph of the "Introduction" in this text.

Q> I want to become the "Group Advisor", what do I do?
A> Great. For some groups we already have advisors, but there are many
groups which we didn't yet cover. A group can have more that one
advisor. To be a "Group Advisor", you have to have a lot of free time
every day, and you must be VERY GOOD in your Group's Topic. You will
answer questions, attend IRC Chat meetings, manage the group's files
[Programming Utilities] and optionally start a U-NET/UseNET Support
Forum. E-Mail me for more info.

Q> I E-Mail`ed you, but no reply!!
A> If it has been more then 5 days, re-send your e-mail to ALS...@JUNO.COM
See 'How to Apply - Notes" for more info.

Q> What will a 'Contract' contain?
A> Well, some projects [smaller ones] will not need a contract, so it is
up to the members of a project to deside of they need one. A contract
would be their legal proff, wich most people prefer for extra security.
I am reserching this legal aspect right now, but sofar, Mail and FAX
are the only known ways to sighn a contract. Later we might descover
something else.. [FAX also includes scanning `n E-mail`ing..]
The contract will cover topics including:
    - Your Rights [to quit the project, and so on]
    - Club's Rights [Remove anyone from project/club/sub-group]
    - Rights of others (Ex. Project Organizer / Helpers)
    - How much the programmer will get paid [Percantage / Sum-Rarley]
    - What is the club's tax? [Currently %5 of the proffit]
    - That the club [and everyone else] are not responcible if the project
fails to make the ammount you think it is worth.

Q> If I join, and then deside to quit.... How easy is it??
A> As easy as sending a 1-line e-mail containing:
   - YourRealName
   - YourPhone#
   - Words "I want to QUIT" [be as direct as you need to be]
   - Reasons for your desision [optional]

Q> If this some kind of a scam?
A> Most things wich sound 'to good to be true' are 'not as good as they seem'.
I can tell you one thing; THIS CLUB IS FOR REAL!
I am as interested in running it, as you are in joining it!
