hi all,
been reading (or should i say "viewing"?) this NG for
a while and i thought it was about time to contribute ...
i've been an occasional ASCII artist for some years now;
if you enjoy the picture below i'd love to post some more.

this image was created on my trusty old macintosh SE/30
from 1989, using a software named "ASCII-paint", with some
text edits added here and there.
doing ASCII art i frequently use a blend of techniques; from
conversion of my own icon designs (see my signature below) to typing
manually to the aforementioned ASCII-paint application.

But the odd looking S is a non standard character. Some systems won't see that character. Some systems will replace it with two or three characters thus distorting your drawing beyond recognition.
