gif-ascii converter

Hi,
	i will like to convert some of my cartoons gif file to ascii 
image.  Does anyone know how to do it and where can i get this type of 
cinverter.  Thanks in advance

Such a thing does exist it is called GIF2ANSI but it converts gifs to ansi
not ascii, so not quite what you want. I could probably find it for you if
you want.

Even though it is not an ansi converter, I would still appreciate it!

BMP2TXT.ZIP is on SIMTEL or one of the SIMTEL Mirrors.  I saw it one night
last week when I was browsing. I get there by doing a search with WEBWORM
for "SIMTEL".
