E-mail me some addresses or even the names of some good progs. Thnx Nils (FSR darf nicht untergehen)
If anyone manages to locate one, is it possible they could also mail me the web page address that it's on please. Thanks
I need some good converters as well. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------- | Amandio Hilario Rua "The nations of our time cannot prevent the | conditions of men from becoming equal; but | Freshman D-218 it depends upon the men themselves whether | the principle of equality is to lead them | 831-6205 to servitude or freedom, to knowledge or | barbarism, to prosperity or wretchedness." | pod...@wpi.edu | -Alexis de Tocqueville | WPI, Worcestor, MA '"Democracy in America: Book IV"' ----------------------------------------------------------------------------- On 31 Jan 1996, Nils Kemper wrote: > In article <Pin...@ipifidpt.difi.unipi.it>, Oliver TONET <df1...@ipifidpt.difi.unipi.it> writes: > |> On Tue, 16 Jan 1996, Christopher Thebodo wrote: > |> > |> > Anyone who has a .gif, .jpg or .bmp to ASCII converter, would you > |> > please post it or E-Mail it to me. I've not tried it yet, but I just did a web search through Lycos
(www.lycos.com) and found some converters. GIFSCII.EXE is the filename.
It requires a 386, and apparently converts GIF files into ASCII art. I
believe it was on Scarecrow's archives...but no guarantees.

I think the reason that people stop answering is that people keep asking the same question over and over again. This is called a Frequently Asked Question. There is a file posted here regularly called (surprise, surprise) alt.ascii-art FAQ, which answers most of these questions. Try ftp://ftp.wwa.com/pub/Scarecrow/ which contains several GIF->ASCII converters such as GIFSCII, as well as many archives of ASCII art. David
Yer wrong, I got one (for windows) from this newsgroup about a month ago. Unfortunately I have no time to post it right now.
