Why the hell do you go wasting bandwidth spamming about 15-20 newsgroups, saying to visit your stupid idiotic homepage, but you don't even give us the damn URL? ======================= - /| \o.O' "Ack!" First, you didn't even include the URL. People aren't telepathic, you know. Second, and worse, you spammed this to 25+ newsgroups, and I don't see a single one that has anything to do with WWW page advertising. Here's where it went: alt.architecture alt.artcom alt.ascii-art alt.asian-movies alt.astrology alt.atheism alt.backrubs alt.beer alt.bbs.doors <--\ alt.bbs.first-class <--\ alt.bbs.pcboard <-- | Notice the "BBS" in these?!? alt.bbs.renegade <-- | alt.bbs.searchlight <--/ alt.bbs.wildcat <--/ alt.best.of.internet <-- isn't even for original posts! It's for crossposting posts in other interesting newsgroups! alt.bigfoot alt.binaries.doom <--\ alt.binaries.erotic.senior-citizens <---\ alt.binaries.erotica <----| Erotica = WWW ads? alt.binaries.erotica.d <----| Binaries = Programs! alt.binaries.erotica.fetish <---/ alt.binaries.erotica.pornstar <---/ This better be one hell of a WWW page! -=| Troy Davis |=- tro...@oz.net - Tro...@aol.com http://users.aol.com/TroyDavis/ Seattle, WA, USA

It was noted that Custom Medical <ric...@cneti.com> wrote: >This is our new home page. We need suggestions on how to improve to >make it more interesting to you. Hmm, it would be slightly more interesting if it was accessible by the non existant URL you gave us! If this (and the fact that you spammed this ad) is a reflection of your understanding of the Net, then perhaps you should not try to be a "cool dude with a homepage". Duh!

Suggestion would be to read the various follow up messages BEFORE you re-post. Just for the hell of it, it would be nice to get your "new home-page" URL if you want visitors. This has been suggested to you several times. (You do understand what a URL is, don't you?) Best regards. Please, use e-mail to reply to messages posted in alt.best.of.internet. If
you see it included in a cross-posting, please remove it before sending
your reply. Thank you.
This is NOT a "flame."
This message is being sent automatically in response to your erroneous
posting in alt.best.of.internet. It is considered "erroneous" because the
subject line was not prefaced with "ABOI". I just haven't got time to
READ the junk posted here. If it actually WAS a repost then good. Next
time please change the subject line to say "ABOI: ..." If you don't know
how to change the subject, then find out.
Alt.best.of.internet (ABOI) is for reposts. Ask someone to show you how if
you want to play and can't figure it out. DO NOT post computer geeky
questions, ads or other non-reposted stuff here, or you shall get smited
with a FAQ.
Here is the FAQ:
1] Do not post original articles to ABOI. Repost other articles.
2] Do not use ABOI as your personal flame forum. Go to alt.flame.
3] Do not use ABOI or other inappropriate groups for WWW adverts.
4] Do not create a huge irrelevant thread on ABOI to annoy others.
5] Do not post tests (Use <alt.test>), personal mail (use e-mail),
or personal messages (go visit <soc.penpals>) to ABOI.
6] Remember everyone IS allowed to use the Internet.
7] Please remember to be courteous of others...use Netiquette.
8] Do not use your computer to abuse others, you will get caught.
9] E-mail is the only fool-proof way to communicate with others.
10] Always fasten your seatbelt on the Information Highway.
For the whiner who complains that he got too many FAQs mailed to his
mailbox after he posted in ABOI, a brief (yet polite) netiquette pointer:
[1] Read the FAQ of ANY newsgroup before you post to it.
[2] Do not compound your error (posting to ABOI) by repeating it (posting
AGAIN to ABOI).
[3] Do not act like an ugly American abroad and complain about the habits
of the natives when you visit ABOI. We were here first.
[4] It helps to lurk. Don't you check out a car before you buy it? Try to
learn about your new acquaintances before lending them money? Do you
buy houses sight-unseen? Then consider lurking in newsgroups before
posting so you can see if you will be happy there or, conversely, if the
oldtimers will be happy with you there. If you had lurked, you would have
known instantly that ABOI is for reposts.
[5] Why should we have to babysit you and look for "Re:" and whatnot?
Technically, a repost on ABOI is prefaced by "ABOI: ..." so that we
know a clueful person is posting, and it isn't a lame post that doesn't
adhere to the FAQ.
