That is true _most_ of the time, but depends on how and if the server is configured to do that, it's always better to assume it's not, lots of servers, especially homepage servers don't use index.htm(l) as their default. Using the above example, blah/lester5374/ on most servers will take you to a page named index.htm(l) and it's becoming more and more of a standard, but it's still not always true, sometimes it's blah/lester5374/lester.htm. Indeed - My local web server uses Default.htm as the, er, default page, whereas
my ISP`s web server uses index.html and then if that isn`t found it goes for
index.htm ..... It`s all a question of how the server is set up. :o)
