Does anyone know what this symbol means ?

This is the Hindu Ohm symbol.
and you would not BELIEVE what I went through to post this blooming
message.. I nearly had to send a 4.5m file in with it just to post.. The
meaning of life is hard to post to the world.. let me tell you.

Alas it is! Hmm. for me ANYTHING is hard to post! My stupid news reader 
finds errors in everything!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! 8( It's the 
most time consuming annoying rant rant rant rant...
Any idea how it got on compact discs ???

Otherwise.. maybe asking you friendly hindu neighbor will be able to
tell you more.  I believe it to symbolize the acnhient Ohm meditive state
so often trivialized in movies.... ya know.. Ohmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm...
