First I would like to say I ALWAYS enjoy getting mail, for any reason
BUT, as my main signature cleary says I DON'T like getting spams or flames
They get deleted PERIOD, they are IGNORED.
I am saying this first because while a LTO of people mailed me askin for
sigs 2 people actually mailed me my ENTIRE post to me.. now 1) I KNOW
what I posted so why would I want to look at it again and 2) that is MUCH
SPAM and runs up my disk quota if i save the message because I am TRYING
to be nice and get back to you... so please DON'T DO it anymore.. If your
mailer/news reader asks to include the post say NO!!! or if you DO say yes
DELETE all the crap I posted *I* don't want to see it again.. The two people
that did this I have pruned their message AND kept it and will get back to them
but any furthor spammins wiehter out of ignorance or intentional,
WILL BE IGNORED, they WILL be deleted IMEDIATELY. So if you want my help
BE SMART.
Now since most of you asked one of 2 questions I will answer them both here:
1. The way I made the signatures was with a program called 'figlet' orginally
a Unix based program I believe.
A. No I don't know where to get it, I got mine so long ago I forget the
ftp site, but I'm sure the faq to this newsgroup has it.
B. No I will not send anyone the fonts I use.. there are all public domain
fonts and are located at the same ftp sites as 'figlet' most of the time
Any fonts that are self made will be posted there.
2. I am not going to make signatures for everyone one who writes me for three
main reasons.
A. If I agreed to make a signature for ONE person I would have to make one
for EVERYONE who mailed me <a lot of people, like 30?> so I would never
get to do anything else.
B. I am too busy <usually> to to make sigs for everyone <sorry>, but when
you find out where to obtain 'figlet' you can make them for yourselfs.
C. I'm not that nice <cackle> sorry I can't please everyone all the time
so I don't try to. The only person I have to please is me.
P.S. I'm not TOTALLY cruel I will make SOME sigs for people on 2 conditions:
1. I'm not making one for everyone I will pick and choose so maybe I WILL make
one for you and maybe I won't <sigh although I usually will, DOH>
2. PLEASE do NOT mail them to me POST them that way if *I* don't make it for
you maybe some OTHER kind soul will okay?
Thats all for now...
Oh also like I said I WILL make the sigs for some people that mailed me but it
will be in like a week or two because I am moving my computer to the summer
dorms so not only will i have a diffferent address <another reason to post not
mail me> but I won't have it plugged in for about a week and a half.
