To save me doing a self portrait in ascii freehand, does anyone know
where I can get a working "picture to ascii" converter?

E-mail me your suggestions as I dont get to the newsgroups that often.

this ... so I
have linked it to my page. Although there seem to be a few bugs,
(written for
another language or somethin), this is my one of choice.
