LOL I'm no expert :)
There's not much you can do about the extended email header fields -
they will always give away certain things, but most don't read those. If
you just mean the "from" and "reply to" header, then you can change that
under Options > User and System Profile
Good luck, I suggest Pete Punk may be a better choice to ask FA

In the mean time, right-click any NGF in the NG pane, select Default Properties, click the "Post" tab and fiddle around a bit there. I know of two ISPs whose "regular" SMTP-Servers always insert your email-adress at that ISP. IIRC it's supposed to be a kind of feature (for people too dumb to remember their email-addy?). Yeah, as far as I know that's my only SMTP outgoing posting option for email in Agent. I know of two : ISPs whose "regular" SMTP-Servers always insert your email-adress at : that ISP. Your name or your email addy? If it's your name, I can almost understand that, but if it's your email addy then what is the point? I got the POP3 addy to use with Agent and from what others are telling me, my ISP sends out my default (private) addy with my SMTP. I want people only to see the new POP3 addy and reply to that one. The whole purpose of me getting a addy from HotPop POP3 was to keep my default email private. Hope this makes sense Ville, LOL. I wonder if my ISP would stop displaying the info if I asked them? I want people only to see the new > POP3 addy and reply to that one. I don't know about hotpop, but most Freemailers offer an SMTP-Server for their customers. The one I use (gmx) does, for sure. Most require you to fetch your mail via pop3 first, then let you send mails via their SMTP-server for a few minutes. Most mailers can handle this, and it would probably be the easiest solution if you're only using one adress at a time. Another option would be to check whether your ISP (if it *is* their server changing your adress, that is) offers another SMTP server that allows using different email-adresses (mine uses a setup like that - yes, I think this is the dumbest thing since webmail ;-), but that doesn't keep 'em from doing it). Doesn't it work if you just type the email addy you want to use in options -> user & system profile -> user -> email address? You might also right click any folder, select default properties -> post -> and then check if the from field in the box is correct, but it should be unless you changed it.
