Sorry that it's taken so long for everyone else to reply, but I've only just had a chance to catch up. Personally, I thought it was great! It did help that I was able to predict where the 'ball' was going to go, so that as my eyes popped out of focus they knew where to focus on again. I'd be interested to see more animated 3D ascii stuff. STM obAscii - stereogram of where I thought the ball was sometimes .....#. ....... ....#X# .#..... .....#. #x#.... ....... .#.....

Ok I have been saving this link since it was posted so that I might load a GUI and take a look at it. I load up a GUI and load the page and I see toons of streaming txt that might be a stereo gram and might be a crual hoax designed to waist my time by someone targeting me as a form of retaliation for all of the stereograms I have created. So I hit the stop button figuring that if it is the real deal I should be able to stop at any point and get a 3d frame. WTF? It worked, I did see a 3d frame. In a braced bit of deturnination I set my eyes into 3d mode and reload the page. There it is, exactly as promised, a sterogram movie. Well a sterogram clip or loop, not really a movie since there is no plot. But it works. Someone has more time on their hands than me. So how was it done? What software was used? How much time did it take? Why was it done? Someone (the OP?) please answer these questions. -- .-')) asciipr0n.com/fp ('-. | It's a damn poor mind that ' ..- .:" ) ( ":. -.. You didn't see the plot too? Sounds to me like you haven't quite got your eyes focused properly. Now, I don't want to give too much away, but pay attention to her brothers house keeper, and compare him to the guy at the funeral parlour. It works with gcc-2.95.3 (Ok, what's up with that #if 1 in randasc()?): #define DEPTH0 16 #define COLS 79 #include <stdio.h> main() { long now; int col; char m[COLS+1],s[COLS+1]; int i,e,c; /* seed random number generator */ time (&now); srand (now); /* print fusion X's */ for (col = 0; COLS - col >= DEPTH0; col += DEPTH0) { for (i = 0; i < DEPTH0-1; ++i) putchar (' '); putchar ('X'); } putchar ('\n'); /* process input image */ while (memset(m,'\0',COLS+1),fgets (m, COLS+1, stdin)) { e = 0; s[COLS] = 0; for(i=0; i<COLS; ) { e = 0; while (i >= DEPTH0 && i < COLS && (c = m[i - DEPTH0]) >= '0' && c <= '9') { e = 1; s[i] = s[i-DEPTH0+c-'0']; ++i; } s[i++] = (e || i < DEPTH0) ? randasc() : s[i-DEPTH0]; } puts (s); } } randasc() { #if 1 return ('!'+rand()%92); #else return ('a'+rand()%26); #endif } 3ch "Gallium arsinide.
