Mad idea...ASCII Jigsaws?

Hi all.
First of all, I want to say I love the work you guys do, it's really great.
Second, would it be possible to do an ASCII art jigsaw, using an outline
like the one below by JGS, and filling each of the pieces with a little part
of a picture, like a real jigsaw, only out of ASCII. It would be
interesting to see if it is possible or not. Does anyone have any ideas?
