I was having so much fun with the comet/starfield idea, that I decided to make
a plan file out of it. After diddling around with it a bit more, here's what
I came up with. I think this comet looks a little better than the last one I
posted. Feel free to use it.

I think it was from a book. Correct me if I'm wrong, but I think this
line had something to do with the directions to get to Earth.

The quote was taken from Star Trek VI: The Undiscovered Country as a drmatic and sympathetic ending that was designed to make the viewers cry...and it worked. -Arek Wdowiak Commodore, Starfleet Command CO, U.S.S. Yorktown, N.C.C. 1704-A
"Second star to the right and straight on til morning. . ." the directions to never-never land, of course!! (Peter's directions to Wendy in Peter Pan!!) Marcy HIrsch I work at Duke but I'm a UNc Tarheel at Heart!!

Yes, the quote was used in the Star Trek movies, but the original source is Peter Pan.

At the end, when starfleet orders the Enterprise back to be decomissioned, Spock turns to Kirk and goes "I believe the phrase would be, "Go To Hell." If I were human." Then Kirk turns to the viewscreen and goes "Second star to the right and straight on til morning." -Baku,

It was used at the end of Star Trek VI: The Undiscovered Country; HOWEVER, it is originally from Peter Pan. "Second star to the right and straight on 'til morning" is how you get to NeverNeverLand. So this phrase has been around for a LONG time; Star Trek just borrowed it ... -- Vicki Holzhauer, National Center for Atmospheric Research Boulder, Colorado / / / / vic...@ncar.ucar.edu
|> : : This probably isn't yours, but do you know from where this reference |> : : is taken? Was it a Star Trek ep? (I'm going crazy!) I guess by now you know it is the directions to Never Never Land. However, if no one else has mentioned it, it is also the directions Kirk gave at the end of _The Undiscovered Country_ (Star Trek VI). That might be the reason you associate it with ST.
