You can use this little thing to check if there's "bad ones" in there:

http://www.ludd.luth.se/~vk/cgi/ASCII-to-HTML/

Its purpose is really to make HTML (so some characters will get
"encoded") but it cuts if it sees a "bad" character...

(hmmm... maybe I should make a "purity check" script...)
