I tried some things out and what came around is the ascii-art Banner
Creator. U can enter two Textstrings and will get out an ascii-art
animation, showing two banners one entering from the right, the other
from the left. It's only the first try, so I'm gladly receiving comments
on that.
I dunno if it helps you, Caroline, perhaps I'll write some more stuff.

Visit the ascii-art Banner Creator at http://www.eternium.de/aabc/

Hi everyone :)

I discovered this newsgroup about 2-3 months ago and I've got to admit that
I really like to see all these ASCII drawings! :) I tried once to make some
but I guess I still need some practicing... Maybe someday I'll be able to
make good ones...

As written in my subject, I have a little request to make... On July 30th,
it will be my boyfriend's and I first anniversary together and I wanted a
little ASCII I could keep and give him for the occasion.

The only thing that I'd like to see in the animation is, of course, our
names (Caroline Marie and Frdric (or Frederic would be fine), if it's not
too hard to make (especially mine, it's quite long)... But a little ASCII
without the names is just fine too! :)

Thanks a lot in advance and keep all your really good work! :)

Cool program, David. I tried making one getting the two lines to line up
at the end of the animation.

   /\ /\ (` /` | _ +
  /--\/--\,) \, | (| |` |

and of course, ended up with:

   /\ /\ (` /` | _ +

  /--\/--\,) \, | (| |` |

I realize it's a simple matter to simply remove the blank line that you
have inserted into the program. But is there a way to tweak the program
so that people could use the smaller Figlet letters?

Or indeed, to get this to line up:

/` |. |v| . | [ , | , .
\,(||`()|||)(` | |(||`|(`   (||)(|   ||`(`(|(`|`|(

Ok. Was no big deal. I changed it to handle 5 seperate lines. When I'll
have the time, I'll make it more variable (lines, rows, etc.).

I await patiently.

In the meantime, I feel compelled to make a correction before the
ASCII-police come after me....

Cool. It seems to do a few odd things with spaces but it's great.
