Demons Dialing in ASCII (and other Phun things)...

Somewhere in my dark and misguided youth (way back in the mid-eighties),
I
once flirted with the evil hobby of hacking/phreaking.  The phollowing
ASCII's were one of the results of said activities.

In brief: the "Demons" were a reference to "Demon Dialing"--more
commonly
known as "War Dialing" or simply "Exchange Scanning" (i.e., autodialing
large
blocks of phone numbers to try and find computers to hack).  The
"Phed-Mobile"
was the resulting efforts of law enforcement if any Hack/Phreak failed
at
his/her current exploit.  (Tech-heads please note the microwave
receiving
dish atop the van.)

One more thing, the "Little Demon Dialer" was actually an animated ASCII
art
character from an old exchange scanner I wrote on my beloved Amiga,
circa 1987.
His facial expression as well as his T-shirt logo would change in
proportion to
the amount of time a particular number was being "scanned".

Needless to say I no longer practice these shameful activities [cough,
snicker].
