Pen & paper ASCII art

Have you ever drawn ASCII art with a pen, on a sheet of paper? I did it like five years ago when I was bored at school.

The Assembly 02 demoparty has never had ASCII competitions unlike many other demoparties (usually all the entries are high-ascii 
though), but AltParty held an "analogue ASCII competition" there. We were only allowed to use pen, graph paper and draw 7-bit 
characters. It is an interesting challenge, harder than it seems. Also has some good aspects, like you can have some influence on how 
the characters look - is the hyphen straight or not, are the o's round or elliptic etc.

I ended up on second place with "Come to Teddy" (a handicapped teddy bear who's playing with a joystick) (don't ask me where I got the 
inspiration, I have no idea). I hope someone will put the pictures up on the Internet. OCR software probably doesn't work on all the 
pics so they are probably just scanned.

I have ponderd it.  But if I put pen to paper I am more likely to want
to emulate Piranesi and not Ascii.  Old habits die hard.
