Yes, I'm always thinking about those IDs. I want to have as few of
them as possible, but still do the jok.

I've been thinking of adding ANNOUNCE and FAQ to the 'official' list
of IDs. As to INFO, as you mention, that would work. And I suppose that
when somebody answers a question, they use ANSWER, or to keep the number
of IDs lower, they could use INFO for that too.

Hmmm ... no, I think there is a difference between an informational
posting and the answer to a question. The former is not discussion; the
latter is. For the latter, "Re: Question: ..." should be sufficient.

The only problem is that "Re: Question" could be something else. My
idea of the IDs is that they tell you exactly what is in a post, not the
previous post it's following up.

OK, here are the current IDs for posts. If you have any ideas for
improvements, either post it to the groups, or email it to me.

Line - Standard ASCII line art. Line pictures and large lettering.
      GIF - Gray scale image.
Animation - Animation. Usually uuencoded.
Color - ANSI Color image. Usually uuencoded.
      3-D - Three dimensional art.
Binary - Binaries (software like Figlet and Gifscii). Usually uuencoded.
Big - Wider than 80 columns (and optionally, longer than 24 lines).

Repost - Repost of a previously posted pic, not new art.
Request - Request for a picture, Figletized name, sig, etc.

Talk - General discussion, no pics included.
Question - A question concerning any of the ASCII art topics.
Answer - An answer to a question asked by a poster.
Info - Web URLs, email address, Gopher and FTP sites, font lists, etc.
Announce - Announcements of events, new sites, web pagse, etc.

FAQ - Used for the weekly posting of Frequently Asked Questions

As you can see, I've broken up the list with three blank lines. I
think this helps to make it more readable, and seems to make sense.
