Dear Barb and Graham, Forgive me for not writing sooner. We have had some trouble with our e-mail (mcn...@thenew.net) at home so I'm writing from Sandy's office, where I am babysitting the telephone for her while she makes some calls to potential clients in the secretary business. The business is going slowly but good for just being in business for 2-1/2 months. Thank you for the Christmas greeting. It was good to hear from your Mom as well. It sounds like they are doing well too. I trust you have had a good holiday season and are back to routine again. Our Christmas was good. Our family were getting together on Boxing day at Sandys (she has the biggest house) so made our plans around it. And then Rick's family changed their plans for meeting boxing day at Sandy's on Christmas day, to the Sunday prior. So our Christmas was funny as the girls and family came for brunch on Christmas day and then the whole family go together on Boxing day as planned. I'm sure Sandy has told you about Randy, who Crys has been dating for nine months now. Their was no diamond at Christmas as we guessed but there seems to be plans in the air so we should know before long if there is a wedding in the future. These young kids (ha ha) take a while to get up enough nerve to take a leap, so we will wait patiently. (or otherwise). All is well with the rest of the family -Paul is still at the Sarnia Hydro although he threatens to relocate now and again. Wendy is working 2-1/2 days per week at the bookstore. Adam is in highschool (grade nine) and Brandon (taller than I)age 12 this month is playing travel basketball and Taylor is in grade one. They are all well and very active. Steve's (2nd year of empty nest) is thinking of buying into a business in Dryden -the finances scare us but the profit sounds good and these kids know the potential, thank the Lord. We don't. His oldest son Mike is now ordained and will finish his two years of internship at a little Baptist church in Oklahoma and hopes to return to pastor in Canada this summer. His wife is expecting a little girl in Feb. so we will be great grandparents again. Their first is 18 months. Colleen, Steve's second girl has also graduated from the same college in Oklahoma city and is working as a church secretary there and the last daughter is in her 2nd of 4 year teaching course at that same school. Rick will be moved up to sargent in March and is a good police man and although stressfull enjoys it very much. Sandy is enjoying thinking up new creativity for being the best secretarial service available. Their little girls are a delight, ages 9 and 7. They live about 50 minutes from us so we see them every two to three weeks, approx. Dad and I are still pushing on. A bit at the school and some in the church committees but loving it all. Our health has been good and so hope to do more travelling than working this year. We will spend three weeks in Florida this spring and visit Steve for a couple and spend most of July and August at the trailer in Muskoka, go to Porta Plata in the Dominicon Republic for a week in the fall (of course, only if a wedding dose'nt break us.) So our working days are getting shorter. I do hope this colder weather does not affect your problem Graham. Has your condition improved at all? It sounds like you have some very active little ones too. (Not so little anymore, eh). All the time you use in transporting and just being with them will be such a great memory when you get to our age. You will be glad that you gave them quality time. I do hope that you are all well and have missed the flu this year. It is rampant over here. I must go and let on I done something. Please take care of yourselves and write when you get a chance.
