cat is a program, which prints a file to the "standard output", i.e.
your screen. If you have UNIX, you have that program. On a PC, use the
TYPE command.

Wrong -- whis won't work. The cat program uuencoded by Mehrdad Karjoo
needs both same version of UNIX and *same hardware*! You cannot
transfer binaries (runnable compiled programs, as opposed to program
source code) from one brand of machines to another, eg. from a Sun
workstation to an IBM... (well you can move the file but it won't
work, to be exact...)

: "cat" is part of the UNIX operating system. If the system you are running is
: UNIX, then it should have it. In any case, I uuencoded my copy of cat for you.

Not only would it have to be unix but it would have to be the same version of
the same operatiting system. Highly unlikely. All you have to do to view
the animations is use whatever command your system uses to type a file to
your screen. In MS-DOG it is type, in most unix it is type.
