Here is my signature file...
The thing coming out of the bottom is a skydiver.
Can anyone make the skydiver better?

Actually, if you draw the plane as if it were not moving, thus being in the plane's referential, I think the skydiver's trajectory should be a parable. Something like this (it looks horrible, sorry): ____ _ | __\_\_o____/_| <[___\_\_-----< | o' ... : Actually, if you draw the plane as if it were not moving, thus being in
: the plane's referential, I think the skydiver's trajectory should be a
: parable. Something like this (it looks horrible, sorry):
No, not really. Remember that, before jumping, the diver is moving at
the same speed as the plane. The jump probably doesn't change this
significantly, but air resistance does.
I won't even try to figure out the exact path, but viewed from the ground
it should appear more or less hyperbolic.

When vieved from the plane, the amount of air resistance determines
whether the path appears straight or curved in either direction.
Observation of actual skydivers filmed from the plane seems to
indicate that at first air resistance dominates, resulting in a path
like this:

I might be completely wrong, of course.
