I just really really wanted to try out my sig.
(In theory, a mongoose, not a large squirrel.)

Your theory is probably correct.

I have credited your Mongoose as a Mongoose. It could not be a large
squirrel if you compare it with these squirrels :-)

I am never very sure that the last two characters are actually
squirrels although there seems to be a hint of bushy tails.

They appeared in Chevalier's story about the Mouse King so I think
these two are really Mouses not squirrels :-(

Bye,

The top one is Reepicheep (by me) from the Chronicles of Narnia,
the lower one is a female rat I drew along similar lines (not
that the difference in species is very visible).

The bushy-tailness of Reepicheep goes away if you realize that
he's wearing a feather on his head, and that isn't the top curve
of a squirrel-like tail.

Here's a squirrel I did, for comparison. I've never been happy
with it, tho:

              __
              \ `-.
     __ ) \
  .-' `-._.--' |
 / _/
| ___ __-'. .
| ' `---<___/|/|
| _ o )
| \ / , |
\ `, ) \ \-`-._|
 `-/ /---'>_/_\
 '-`-__`-. '" "
       ""

Reepicheep is actually missing a line.. lets see...

     __
  ,-'' `-.
 /\\` _\ ,
|\\ (_\/|
 ` / /-'o `-.
    | / --'
    | ( (_/( /_,
   /' /\_,-'|`-'/
  | |_.--._|/-'
  | | , /)`
  \\_|  ,) ||
   `--\ |_//
       |' |__,
      /|\ `
