Is there someone out there that can help me... I want to learn how to do the screen animation. I was wondering if someone could point me somewhere where I could get a manual on the codes for the vt100/320 so I know how to do what it is I want to do. I have a project that I wanted to do and looked at some of the control characters and tried to figure it out, but I just don't get it. That or could one of you masters out there who does make these things, drop me a line and tell me how you do it. Thanks. --- Joseph E. Monaly "Junior" Keep Looking, it's out there, Email: jem...@vmsa.is.csupomona.edu somewhere....

I want to know how to create animations but no one seems to know the specifics. I recently got a rather crude ascii animation file (through the mail) that was passed along like a chain letter from an unidentified source through a friend. I have tried mailing it to myself and editing it in various ways but I don't really understand the fundamental nature of how it works. Do you know how to create ANY of the control characters that make of the bulk of these animations? The files seem to have backwards question marks indicating a control character(i think) but i don't know if they are all the same or if some are different than others. I would appreciate anything you have to say on the subject and i can mail you the one i have if you would like to see it. c. anderson

I have tried mailing it to myself Look in the manual pages for termcap and/or terminfo. These should tell you how to read the /etc/termcap and/or /etc/terminfo files, which do contain the control codes for the different types of terminals. -- James A.
