I don't have the original post, but I'll assume there was an @ sign
somewhere in the art, and your newsreader interpreted it as an email link.
P.S. i don't know if your fault, or the original poster's, but HTML posts to
Internet Newsgroups are Not Nice. :)

This is very irritating for some people to read and the ascii pictures don't come out right. Just go back to posting the way you did before. When I look at the source code of that picture I find this: <A href=3D"file://||">//|| It means that for some reason your computer thought that that part was a link, hence the blue underlined look... (don't ask me why, computers just do stupid things sometimes). -- _ ____ _ _ _ _ _ _ __ _| |__/ __ \| |_ _ __| |__| | | |_ _| |_| |_ ___ ___ \ V / / / / _` | | || / _` / _` |_| | || | _| ' \ _(_-</ -_) \_/|_\_\ \__,_|_|\_,_\__,_\__,_(_)_|\_,_|\__|_||_(_)__/\___| \____/ uggc://jjj.yhqq.yhgu.fr/~ix/arjf/ LIKE MY SIG? If that still doesn't come out (and I don't see why it shouldn't), then it
and other animals (and a whole host of other types of pics) can be found at
Joan Stark's web site. (hoping I am that she doesn't mind the advert)

It looks like this:

   WHAT?
Are you saying that you have something against <font size "+1" > HT M L ???
<blink> Whatever for?  </blink>
It is sucha <blink aaa aaa aa> nice</blink> language and <aa aaa aa> gives you such fantastic creative <blink aa> freedom </blink> !
  So what <aa aa> If not everybody <aa aaa aa> can read it?
If <aa aa> those losers are too mean <aa aa> to buy some<blink a> decent </blink> equipment then that is their problem, not <blink>mine! </blink>
They can always save the <blink> source code </blink> to a file and open it in Netscape!That isn't so difficult!

I have also written a little essay about how you can use it to produce coloured ascii art (but please, don't post that to the group, put it on your homepage and post the URL): http://www.ludd.luth.se/users/vk/pics/ascii/garbage_heap/htmlcolour.txt The result of the examples in it can be found here: http://www.ludd.luth.se/users/vk/pics/ascii/garbage_heap/htmlcolour.html You have probably managed to push some button somewhere to get that html started (but it looks ok now so don't change anything). I guessed that you were "Sarah" and not "David". There is probably some way for you to change that. Poke around in whatever program it is that you use and see if you find his name and see if you can change it to your name. There is a newsgroup called news:alt.test that you can test post to to make sure that things work ok. -- _ _ __ ___.--'_`. __ __ _ .'_`--.___ __ ( _`.'. - 'o` ) \ \ / /__ _ _ ___ _ _ (_)__ __ _ ( 'o` - .`.'_ ) _\.'_' _.-' \ V / -_) '_/ _ \ ' \| / _/ _` | `-._ `_`./_ ( \`. ) //\` \_/\___|_| \___/_||_|_\__\__,_| '/\\ ( .'/ ) \_`-'`---'\\__, ,__//`---'`-'_/ \` `-\ uggc://jjj.yhqq.yhgu.fr/hfref/ix/ /-' '/ ` _____________________ r93...@fz.yhgu.fr ____________________ ' LIKE MY SIG? So keep up the good work folks, we love you for it. Felix Lee (fL) hasn't moved or shaken in the ascii-art arena for at least two years now but at least he left with us the Classic Three-legged Tiger. :-) Your rendition of jgs's tiger has been "moved and shaken" so much that it may well have six legs not three. The things that people can do on their machines to existing ascii pictures is mind-boggling ! Bye,
