ASCII map updated

I've (finally!) updated the ASCII Manhattan subway map to be current.  
(The newest big changes to the map are to the Seventh Avenue line.)  The 
URL is below.  If anything is still inaccurate, please inform (by e-mail 
or to the group, but not both, please).

Thats a pretty cool trick.  Anyone got one for paris or the underground?

The Paris "metro" map is huge and complex.

That's why I didn't do the entire subway map -- just the Manhattan 
portion.

Seems reasonable for the whole subway map to be done in sections. Map
books do a simular thing in which major cities are on seperate pages.

New York City is divided into five boroughs.  Manhattan is one of them.  
If I did an ASCII map for any of the other boroughs, I'd probably have to 
make it more than 70 characters wide.  Manhattan I managed to get in under 
the wire.

One could possibly do it by having a directional base of the borough,
ie North Bronx sector, or NE Bronx sector or any variation there of. 
Of course this is an just an idea, not that anyone has to or probably
would do such a thing, but as an idea it's fun to work out the
complications.

You could easily append a subway map of Staten Island and still be under 
the wire. :-)

I think it's excellent.  The only thing that looks odd to me is referring 
to the Union Sq stop as "4Av."  Yeah, it makes the 'L' train stations 
appear to be consistently named, but it's not called 4th Avenue, it's Union 
Square.  Times Sq is aka 42nd St, Herald Sq is aka 34th St, Union Sq is if 
anything aka 14th St, not 4th Ave.
