Here is one I commonly use on C-Net bbs's, since the conference is limited
to 3 lines per entry...

 _ |_ _ _| _ |~ _ |_ + | | _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _|_
(_| |_) (_ (_| (-' ~|~ (_| | | | | |< | | | | | | (_) |_) (_| | `-, |
                ~ _| _| | |_ ~~
                  _
|_| \/ \/\/ >< \/ /
               / ~

There is also a dot font I use quite often:

... .. ... .. ... ... ... . . ... . . . . . . . . ... ... ...
:.: :.: : : : :. :. : .. :.: : : :.' : :`.': :`.: : : :.: : :
: : :.' :.. :.' :.. :   :..' : : .:. :.: : : :.. :   : :  : :.: :   :::.
... ... ... . . . . . . . . . . ...
:.: :.. : : : : : : : `.' `.' .'
:`. ..: : :.: `.' :.'.: : : : :..

The numbers come out very well:
. ... ... . . ... ... ... ... ... ...
: ..: .: :.: :.. :.. .' :.: :.: : :
: :.. ..: : ..: :.: : :.: ..: :.:

I would also like to make an entire font using the typeface in my sig, but
it is very difficult for some letters.

Well here's my own version of this font:
8P"Y8
8 " 8
8o8o8 It's not great, but it's legible!!

8""Y8
8 :<8 Now, Zack, post _your version!
8ood8 We were talking about this font, and the fact
that the 4 on our screens is different, so I
8P"Y8 used Y instead. I have noticed some people using
8 0-8 9 for the purpose of rounding edges, but this also
8bod8 looks odd on my terminal. Oh well.

8""Y8 BTW I diddled this weeks ago, when I first saw Zack's
8 0 8 .sig.
