does anyone know of an images filter that will convert a bitmap to ascii, and then turn the acscii into a bitmap, so you have a picture of the ascii picture (instead of text? - like if you did a screen capture) Hope you can understand this...

How you come by that text is another matter. (The pbm tool to make ascii art is pretty bad.) Elijah ------ posted a pgm to ascii tool in alt.ascii-art a few weeks ago
Yes, I'm also looking for a filter for a program like Premiere or Ulead MediaStudio that will convert a whole movie into ascii pictures (as a standard avi). Does anyone know where I could get something like this or hasn't such a thing been created?
