I haven't been around here long, but I was imediately struck by the ASCII 
newsgroups.  I began life on an Apple IIE so I really apreciate an art 
media that doesn't rely on the compy your using.  I can't draw to save 
myself let alone go artistically crazy with only an ASCII pallete.

To all who've posted pics here, YOU SIMPLY AMAZE ME.....

hehe, I use an apple //c!  The apple font is particularly good for ASCII
art in my opinion, because it is simple, all of the letters are the same
width (because I don't know the technical term for that), and there are
no little serrifs and things to make stuff look funny.  You should try
it, it's not as hard as it looks =]
