When I try to ftp to this site, and login as anonymous, it asks me for a
password. Also when I tried guest.
Are other people having similar problems?
Thanks

Yes. Because I do *not* support Anonymous FTP or direct TELNET access.
The ASCII Art Bazaar is a pure Gopher site with HTML support (WWW). In
terms of total menu items, we are one of the largest Gopher servers in
Gopherspace.
The Gopher bookmark for the ASCII Art Bazaar is:
Name=The ASCII Art Bazaar
Host=twinbrook.cis.uab.edu
Port=70
Path=asciiarc.70
Type=1
One of the (WWW) URL's is:
gopher://twinbrook.cis.uab.edu:70/1asciiarc.70
-Thanks
-don
I hope this helps.

You don't even need to spell it correctly! This would be true if my site (TWINBROOK) supported Anonymous FTP. But it does not because I cannot properly log Anonymous usage. Sorry. Check the site list in the ASCII Art FAQ for access details. Check with your system administrator for information on what Gopher/WWW clients are available on your system and how to use them. If you have never used Gopher or the World-Wide Web, you are missing the state-of-the-art in Net navigation. FTP is Stone Age by comparison. In the Internet seminar I teach, we suffer through FTP and the older services in the morning and when we get to Gopher and the Web in the afternoon everyone understands why these services, as presented through their clients, are called "THE user interfaces to the Internet." I hope this helps and I'm sorry you are having trouble. . R L Samuell i g

From the menu, choose the Continium, and from the next menu you get, choose the ASCII Art Bazaar. I'm going by memory, but I think that's it. Someone correct this if I'm wrong. Becouse it's gopher, you can browse all the art you want without having to download it to see it.
